What to eat on a plant based diet?


A whole food plant based diet is one that eliminates animal products like meat and dairy and includes food that is as close to as nature intended. Therefore, other foods eliminated include: processed/refined foods, white bread, white sugar, fast foods, convenience foods, refined sugar, etc.

There are many benefits to adopting this lifestyle, including, but not limited to: lowered blood pressure, weight loss, reduced risk of heart disease, controlled diabetes, increased energy levels, and better mental clarity.

Ok, so, what can I eat? Good question!!

A whole food plant based diet includes daily fruits and vegetables, legumes and beans, seeds (like flax and chia) and some whole grains like brown rice, oats, quinoa, etc.

Below is a sample meal plan:

Breakfast:

Cinnamon Berry Oatmeal

-OR-

Baked apples with cinnamon and raisins

-OR-

Banana bread/zucchini bread slices with fruit salad

Lunch:

Salad stuffed pita with Tasty Hummus spread

Strawberry and blueberry salad

-OR-

Spicy Lentil Soup

Green Salad

Steamed broccoli with peppers

Strawberries and bananas

Dinner:

Three Bean soup

Green Salad

Steamed squash and zucchini cooked with onions, mushrooms, and steamed tomatoes

Baked potato with steamed peppers and onions

Blueberries and/or other fruit

-OR-

Chili with corn, tomatoes, onions, and peppers

Steamed green beans

Brown rice

Green salad

2 pieces of fruit

-OR-

Lentil loaf

brown rice

steamed broccoli

Fruit salad

When placing an order, Meal plans can always be modified for those who choose to eat two meals or one meal.
